Pender Island Wedding

Thursday, October 27th, 2011

Here is a “quick” sneak peek of Theresa and Witek’s wedding on Pender Island. It was so hard to pick just a few as this was such a gorgeous and unique wedding. Not only were the bride and groom stunning but the setting was brilliant as well. Theresa’s family has been on Pender since the late 1800′s (I love that!). Her father used to fly Theresa in his airplane and land on the private airfield seen in some of the photos below. I loved that the backdrop of their wedding had such personal history and meaning to them. Theresa & Witek also happen to be super fun!  I was so excited when they were game to jump on the trampoline before dinner ;) Oh, and there was the dancing in the orchard…

Theresa and Witek, thank you so much for having us be a part of your wedding day. I will never forget the magic of it!

A big thanks to Lana Winnichyn for second shooting for me!

Magical moments.

Wednesday, September 7th, 2011

Here are a few magical moments from Stephanie & Brian’s wedding day. I cannot express in words the gratitude and warmth that I feel for this couple. Stephanie & Brian first met with me and subsequently hired me while I was still dealing with my inner ear issues and vertigo. Even though their wedding was a few months away I had no idea whether I would be healthy for it (I am still so jubilant and grateful that I am healed!). When they said they wanted to book me I replied that I totally appreciated their support and confidence but that this was their wedding and if they wanted to hire someone else I would completely understand. They told me that nothing is guaranteed in life. They could hire someone else and something could happen to them. They wanted to hire the person that they wanted the most. They wanted to hire me. I cried. Ok I waited until after the meeting and then I cried. I was so touched by their compassion and insistence. And the story gets better. Stephanie is an Athletic Therapist and she practices cranio-sacral techniques ( which can help ease vertigo). Stephanie not only supported and believed in me but she also helped heal me. Yes, she is that awesome. Yes, her husband Brian is that awesome. Yes, this couple is pure greatness. I love you guys. xoxo

A little treat for Leah & Andy

Tuesday, August 30th, 2011

Leah & Andy are an exceptional couple that totally stole my heart. They had a beautiful wedding in the orchard of St.Ann’s a few weeks ago and I thought I’d give them a little extra surprise with their wedding photography. Here it is:

Stephanie & Blake

Friday, August 19th, 2011

I met up with Stephanie & Blake at the Roundhouse a couple weeks ago for a wedding portrait session. It was evident right away that in marrying each other, they were marrying their best friend. Their serenity in each other’s company made photographing them a treat. Here’s to a lifetime of love and memories.

Second shooting for the phenomenal Jen Steele.

Friday, August 19th, 2011

I first met Jen Steele when I was a bridesmaid in my friend’s wedding and Jen was the photographer. It was the first time that I got to see another wedding photographer in action. Jen was awesome and my friend was thrilled with the images that she captured of her wedding. I got a call recently from Jen because her regular second shooter had hurt his hand and she needed someone to fill in for one of her weddings. It was my first experience second shooting and I have to say it was pretty fun to step back and work for a different boss for a change ;p  Jen is so great to work with and her images are top notch. She also does incredible boudoir photography that I am trying to get the guts up to hire her for. Guts up? Maybe guts in.

Thanks for a great day, Jen!

Here are just a few of the images that I took second shooting.

Lisa & Nathan’s Wedding

Saturday, October 16th, 2010

Lisa and Nathan’s wedding was such a perfect blend of elegance, sophistication, intimacy and serenity. They were married at Fairholme Manor which was an ideal location for their small, private wedding. The grounds are gorgeous and the interior of the heritage house is a photographer’s dream. Lisa’s Maid of Honour (and sister) created the brilliant floral arrangements. The reception was at one of my favorite restaurants in town, Camille’s. The food, which is organic and sourced as locally as possible, is to die for. Every bite is a little piece of heaven. Lisa & Nathan, thank you so much for inviting us to be a part of your big day (and thank you for the delicious dinner!!). You were both such a pleasure to work with.

Eric & Melissa – Wedding Photo Gallery – Keri Coles Photography – Victoria, BC

Sunday, August 15th, 2010

Eric and Melissa got married at the stunning Bear Mountain Resort. Getting married on a golf course held extra significance for the couple as Eric is a pro golfer and the two met on a golf course ;) The day went smooth as silk with tons of laughter and joy. They definitely win the best reception of the year award. Eric, Melissa and their wedding party surprised their guests with an AWESOME choreographed dance number. Eric also did some pretty impressive renditions of the worm and the robot. The love in the room was huge and beautiful. The cherry on top for us photographers…the bestman freestyling to us just before we left ;)

Thank you, Melissa and Eric, for including us in your extraordinary day to remember!

Ceremony: Bear Mountain Resort

Reception: Delta Ocean Point

Flowers: Fine Floral Designs by Jane

I just love this next series. Hilariousness ensued.

There was a lot of interest from the young ones during the garter getting ;)

and I can’t help but adore the sight of a kid that can’t keep their nose out of a book. I LOVE it!

Engagement Session

Wednesday, December 16th, 2009

Tracy and Jonathon are a lovely couple that are getting married this coming May. I am really excited about photographing their big day. We just got together to shoot their engagement session down at Cattle Point. The day was REALLY windy and cold but we stuck it out and got some great images. Here are some from the adventure:
