The exceedingly lovely Violet

When I arrived at this shoot I was feeling ill and little Violet had skipped her nap so there was concern that things may not run very smoothly. In the end, we both made it through and I am in love with the images that Violet created ;) She was not her usual smiley self but she was content so the images that resulted have a neat introspective feel to them. Thank you once again, Violet, for making my day brighter. She has a habit of doing that. You can check out another day she made my day brighter here. Is she not the most precious beauty ever?

Hip Baby- Victoria Grand Opening- Slideshow

What an incredible day it was down at the Grand Opening of Hip Baby‘s new Victoria location. The store is conveniently and fashionably located at the entrance to Market Square (104a – 560 Johnson Street). The store threw open their doors to reveal its smart collection of the latest and greatest in eco-friendly, family-friendly products. Hip Baby also provided fantastic entertainment for the day in Market Square. There was an easter egg hunt, face-painting, egg dyeing/painting, and the amazing live music of Bucan Bucan.

ANTI-POP CONSORTIUM

I was pretty excited about heading down to Lucky bar to photograph Anti-Pop Consortium. I had heard lots of great stuff about them and their lyrics and sound are brilliant. The show was great but to be honest I was a little distracted by the fact that my camera loved them ;)

The first images are of TBA (Truth Becomes Audio) who opened for them. Props to them for giving 100% commitment to their performance. They were a little over-concerned about burning their name into our brains but they were fairly clever and funny about it which made it forgivable.

There are also two random pics. One of the bartender who cut a strip out of the top of his ball cap so his faux hawk could protrude in all its glory (gotta love him for it!) and a second shot of a guy using a Holga to shoot the band (my hero).

Shelly & Blair’s Wedding

The stunning couple got married under skies of endless blue. Half the wedding party travelled from the other side of the world to be here on this special day. What a blast it was. Congratulations Shelly & Blair!
