So I finally got to meet my darling nephew! My brother, his wife and their 7 month old son Graden live in Singapore which means that their current visit home to Canada marks my first introduction to the CUTEST little boy in the world. What a beautiful day it is was for Leanne & Taylor’s wedding! While I tend to fall in love with all my clients, L&T kicked it up a notch by keeping me in stitches all day long. My stomach and face hurt at the end of the day from all the laughing. Thank you so much, Leanne and Taylor, for having us there on your most amazing day. Thanks, Shealyn, for capturing the day with me! The beautiful ceremony and reception were held at the Westin at Bear Mountain and the wedding party photos were taken at the historical Fort…

  • Mud Girls Cob Building Workshop

I spent an incredible week on Salt Spring Island at a Mud Girls Cob Building Workshop. The Mud Girls are about promoting and enabling the construction of natural building (mostly cob) affordably. A group of about twenty of us came together to live as a community for a week and build a cob cabin. We all camped in a beautiful apple orchard, swam/bathed in the pond, and were treated to three delicious organic meals a day (the chefs were brilliant! mmmmm). • The inner ear and a big timeout.

The last two months have been such an incredibly wonderful and horrid journey. When we got to the hospital, the doctor said it was an inner-ear infection and, since it was viral, I just had to wait it out….

Congratulations Shelly & Blair! Jenny and Vanessa from Verbena Floral Design did an amazing job on the flowers. I highly recommend them as their creativity and flair guarantee works of floral art!! • A stitch in time.

This was a really fun and dear shoot for me. Brianna’s grandmother is an incredibly talented knitter and has made gorgeous sweaters for all the new arrivals in her and her daughters’ lives over the last many years. I was so touched to receive one when my Ella was born. Hand-made gifts are always the most precious and I think of the creators everytime I use them. When I heard that Brianna was on the way I asked if Mrs.Fathers would half knit a blanket so we could do a shoot around it and honour all that she has done…
