Dom & Robyn’s Wedding

We just got back from a GORGEOUS wedding in Naramata. I was really excited to have Anna back shooting with me for the wedding as her law studies have kept her from shooting so far this year and I’ve been missing her energy and great eye. When we arrived at the location we felt like kids in a candy shop…the spectacular arid cliffs, the stunning blue water and a venue that was a gem! It was the kind of location that photographers dream of! The scenery was nothing though compared to the magic that was so evident between Dom & Robyn. There were many times throughout the wedding when there wasn’t a dry eye in the place, resulting from laughter or sweetness! Congratulations Dom & Robyn. It was such an honour to be a part of your big day.

I want to start with a great big thanks to Atomique for putting on such great shows and making the Victoria music scene what it is. I went down to the Save-On Foods Memorial Centre last night to photograph the Metric show. It was great to finally see them live (well, the first three songs anyway). I was pleasantly surprised to see Bif Naked up at the Prince Rupert rally. I had never seen her live before. She has a casual and intimate air about her that made it feel like she was playing for us in her living room. For someone that has had to face some major challenges in her life, it is apparent that she rolls with the punches and comes out smiling. I will definitely try to catch her show again.

Definition of Adorable: Abdu

How is this much cuteness even possible? Abdu totally stole my heart. We had a fantastic shoot at Cordova Bay Beach. Lots of fun was had by all. This family has an ease and grace about them that is so inspirational. They were oozing with love and respect for each other. It was a privilege to spend the afternoon with them.

Confession Time

I have a confession to make. I love them all best of all. They are all my favorites. I can’t help it. All the babies and children that come to me to get photographed are perfect in their own amazing, individual ways. I can’t help but fall in love with each and every one that walks through the studio doors. William is my favorite because he reminds me of Superman 😉

I was immediately intrigued when I got a fantastic call from a man named Andrew. He wanted me to go stealth and photograph him proposing to his beautiful (unsuspecting) girlfriend. After the proposal I would come out of hiding to do a photo shoot for a couple hours. He is super romantic and he wanted an over-the-top amazing place for it all to happen.
