Lisa and Nathan’s wedding was such a perfect blend of elegance, sophistication, intimacy and serenity. They were married at Fairholme Manor which was an ideal location for their small, private wedding. The grounds are gorgeous and the interior of the heritage house is a photographer’s dream. Wow. I am in love. Pemberton was the first camping music festival I’ve ever been to and it completely blew me away! So many great shows, such little time! With multiple stages running it was so hard to decide which of the incredible shows we were going to see. We ended up photographing and dancing to infinite talent and energy in the most gorgeous setting you could imagine. Celebrating the life of a legend. George was a good friend and business partner of my father. He passed away on June 3rd. A moving celebration of life was held at Thunderbird to honour his life and accomplishments. Everyone’s eyes were misty when the riderless horse came into the ring, led by George’s grandson. I had a couple incredibly brilliant work trips this year: a ship tour with Greenpeace and a trip to Paris to cover the UN Climate Conference. In contrast to some years past, it was a fairly uplifting year to be doing environmental work in Canada (Shell pulled out of the Arctic, Canada got a new government, Northern Gateway was killed, and the Paris Climate talks are being lauded by most as a success). This is the second part of Lilie’s debut photoshoot. You can check out her newborn session here. For this one we headed out to Jordan River on a gorgeous morning at the end of October. Lilie’s parents love spending time on the beach and in the waves and I wanted to capture them in their element. It is always so nice to get out of town and head up our gorgeous coast.
